Testimonials
“I wanted to thank you for the beautiful tattoo and the incredible tattooing experience. I had been wanting a tattoo for a while but was really intimidated by the whole process. When I stumbled upon your Instagram, I immediately felt like I had found the perfect place to get my first tattoo. I’m so glad that I got up the nerve to send you a message! Thank you for making me feel so at ease. You were amazing through the whole process, from the initial email conversations to the tattoo session itself. The experience couldn’t have been any better. I’m beyond thrilled with the tattoo. Your design was perfect, and the work is extraordinary. Every time I look at it, I’m just floored by how beautiful it is. It makes me so happy. :)”

“Gemma is not only an incredibly talented artist, she is a wonderful human. I waited until I was 50 to start my tattoo journey and I am so grateful it has been with her. She brings to life your vision in the most beautiful way. If you are new to tattoos she is your person! Her shop is so unique and zen. Amazing energy in her space”

“Being tattooed by Gemma was like being tattooed by a fairy. I am a WIMP and I could have let her tattoo me all day. Her space is beautiful and private, the conversation is stimulating, her set up is sparkling clean, and the results are *chefs kiss* flawless. All around 10/10. Why haven’t you booked an appointment yet?”

About the Artist
All roads within my heart lead back to nature.
Prior to my career as a tattooist I worked for many years in fine dining and hospitality. I also went to college, studied writing, and had a brief stint in art education. In 2005, a very kind art professor basically asked me ‘Um, what are you doing?’ He urged me to create my own art.
Almost fifteen years later, here I am. I started tattooing in 2009. Clean line work, bold color, and smooth shading are the foundations of my style. I am called to work with nature inspired imagery and will never tire of tattooing plants, animals, geometry, insects etc…Everything I do is custom, and I love to help pull together seemingly disparate or loose ideas. I enjoy transforming old tattoos, and challenging coverups.
I live half my life in the western Maine mountains, am an amateur herbalist, and believe deeply in living with a spirit of connection and friendship to this earth. I am a painter and fine artist and am represented by Carver Hill Gallery in Camden, Maine. My husband and I love the woods, and sharing our home with a rabbit.
I LOVE WHAT I DO.
